lots of ships!

This forum is pretty cool. I seen this thread and have all sorts of junk I could blab about, but nobody would probably care. I get most of my info at greatoceanliners.net.

My fav ship almost of all time (Titanic is the first) is the Great Eastern. It was pretty slow (14 kts) but it was huge for its time. It was built in 1860 and was 689 ft long! With a beam of 117 ft. Pretty big, although only 19,000 tons. Wasn't surpassed until the White Star Lines Oceanic II. I grabbed ahold of some sectional views of it and I have to say that I was impressed. Especially buy the art of what the interiors looked like.

Hi,

Welcome to TDTSC.

The Great Eastern is also one of my favourite ships.
