Re: Oh, Happy Birthday, Lightsy!!!
yes i agree graham.
after all he had to be a good guy and sailor if he was friends with Will . and to be as high in white star line as he was.
some of the best officers of the time were from white star line .

Re: Oh, Happy Birthday, Lightsy!!!
hi Wills
I agree with you the WSL had the reputation of been the best line to work for as a result seemed to get some of the best in it's crew.

Re: Oh, Happy Birthday, Lightsy!!!
Yep, WSL was definitely "where it was at" to work back then! Top of the heap, as 'twere!
It seems that they tended to take the "creme de la creme"...that was why Wills was working for them and not Cunard!

Re: Oh, Happy Birthday, Lightsy!!!
Hi Lightsy!
I know we wished our Happy Birthdays via email, but since one also likes to be doubly blessed with birthday wishes...
We're, although rather on the late side, am wishing you, our dearest friend, the happiest of belated birthday wishes! And it is our hope that they all come true for you too.
Warmest regards,
You-know-who
