Let's talk Yahoo-oo!!!
OK, I keep seeing this new Yahoo! Pop-up Blocker bar offering on my home page, and I was wondering how it works & what good it would to go ahead & Click on that yellow button, after you click on the main Yahoo! Pop-up Blocker?
Has anyone tried this, and if--what do you think of it, and will it change anything on you homepage or will it remain the same...except for the new pop-up blocker icon seen on the home page?

Re: Let's talk Yahoo-oo!!!
Hi Tammy
The yahoo block has been set up by BT Yahoo in order to stop unautherised pop ups, I find it quite amusing actually as it is yahoo on many ocations who put the pop up on the site.
To download it should not alter any settings you have on your computer now. Or if it does it has to warn you first where you can simply tick no, Most of the time it woill be to change the home page from what ever you have now to there home page. But like I say you will get a warning and it has to ask if you want to do this, a simple tick in the no box stops this happening.
Pop up banners are quite a good programme now and in the whole work very effectivly.

Re: Let's talk Yahoo-oo!!!
And then there are many of us whom hate those darn pop-up banners, because they are nothing more than a bunch of major worthless nuisances. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As far as I'm concerned, they can take their darn pop-ups and shove them up where the sun doesn't shine.
Anyhow, thank you for explaining to me about that Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker.

Re: Let's talk Yahoo-oo!!!
Lill & Graham, I think that I may post pone clicking on that Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker bar until after my friend, Maureen's friend, Sue S. helps me rid my computer of that McAfee AntiVirus Scan, then installs the Norton AntiVirus program.
While my computer is loading the latter antivirus program, I'll ask her about Yahoo!'s Pop-Up Blocker, and see what she has to say about it. If she says it's OK, then I'll/she can do it...maybe she can suggest a better program that will eliminate all such nuisance pop-up, and then download it for me too.

I've got the Norton AntiVirus 2004 version. It removes viruses automatically; protects email & instant messages; and defends against known & emerging threats. Is it the one for which you speak?

OK, I won't, Graham. I'll wait for Sue S. to give me her thumbs up signal.
