Re: Titanic Myths
Speaking of Titanic myths, I just ran across an extension of the mummy one - that after it had been looted from Empress of Ireland, they tried to send her back to England on Luisitania!
I wonder if they kept her in New York under the Twin Towers?

Re: Titanic Myths
Hmmm, maybe we can actually add to this one and see if it flies...I can just see the thing being transported to the middle of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.....

hmmm wonder if it is just a coincidence that she would happen to end up there just when japan is goin to strike hmmmmm
i dont know something smells fishy here...
maybe it is just the back draft of her being on all those different ships in distress .

Re: Titanic Myths
Hi Wills and TTF
On with the mummy theory, it is said and documented that the mummy in question is in the hold of the British museum London. ( naw come on this is the truth) It never went out of the country but it caused all types of problems here, Apparently the museum had strange fires and electrical faults.
I still like the idea of the mummy though it is great to blame for all sorts.

Re: Titanic Myths
What they have at the British Museum is a piece of the inner lid of a coffin from a Priestess of Amun (or Amen)-Ra (or -Re), donated by a Mrs. Warwick Hunt in 1889. It has never left the museum, and, with the exception of being packed away from the bombs in both World Wars, has been on continuous display. And yes, I wrote and asked them - they have a printed slip they send you, so I guess they get lots of inquiries.
