The Naronic
On Febuary 11th 1893 the fairly new white star liner Naronic dropped her harbour pilot off at Point Lynas, Wales after sailing from Liverpool on her normal Liverpool to New York trip with 74 passengers and crew, 1017 tons of Welsh coal, 3572 tons of general cargo and has never been seen again.

Re: The Naronic
I was just reading FALLING STAR, by Eaton and Haas and the chapter on Naronic was quite interesting. Apparently she was a livestock carrier, and it would seem there are two theories to explain her disappearance. 1)she suffered some kind of explosion mid-ocean and sank with all hands kist or 2) she hit an iceberg and was lost with all hands.
--- "What I remember about that night- what I will remember as long as I live- is the people crying out to each other as the stern began to plunge down. I heard people crying, 'I love you.'"

Re: The Naronic
Hi Tom
Take a lok at this link
http://www.titanic-whitestarships.com/Naronic.htm
It is one of the best Naronic links I have found in past years. I work with a guy who has added a lot of information on the Naronic, If you want I can put you in touch with him. I have a few files concerning this ship that we worked on but am unable to find them at the moment.
Regards
Graham

Re: The Naronic
Hi all,
Graham, as you suggested, I have jumped onboard this group, and will post a bit as time allows.
To those of you who don't know me, I am an amateur researcher, and one of my favorite vessels is the "Naronic". I've done a bit of research on her, and even own a full "picture" advertisement for her that dates from December, 1892. ("The Breeder's Gazette", Chicago, Illinois.)
To Tom: I believe Graham told me you were wanting to (or had) put up a "Naronic" related website. Please feel free to contact me at the address Graham related to you. I'd be glad to help! I have copies of articles on her from several papers as well.
Best regards!
John.
