Hi Graham!
Your above comment struck me silly...so much so that you unintentionally fractured my funny bone.  Just kidding.
Come to think of it, QM2's bow does give off that impression, doesn't it? But what in the heck is that thing sticking out from QM2's keel bow!? Because it "certainly" takes away the smooth look of her bow, doesn't it?
I much prefer the bows of our WSL ladies, over these latest productions, that's for sure!

Any comensation claims should be directed to the site owner here, I am sure it may be covered by a insurance policy of some sort, When all the claim forms are completed then monopoly money will be dispatched in the post by pidgeon :-)

hello you two,
yes there will never be nor has there been yet a ship that can be compared to titanic since her untimely dimse in 1912.
however we also must take into consideration the ships of today.
the bulbous bow is to help the ship cut through the water faster and safer.
the wings are designed as well to help keep her balanced even in rough seas.
there are reasons to every detail in the construction of todays ocean going liners.
i am quite sure that if tom andrews was here today he would approve of the new ship building.

the design for titanic in 1912 would not work on the ships of today because they are not able to handle the sea with the same shape as titanic.
even if they were to build a brand new titanic they would still have to modify it to make it work for today.
