Re: First Officer William Murdoch
Good question for sure, Wills. It would be an interesting point to know.

Re: First Officer William Murdoch
I am the great-great grandaughter of William Murdoch. I was interviewed for the artical several years ago regarding my William Murdoch and my family link to him. Yes I do believe that he lead a secret life with my grand Mother Elizabeth Crogent. Murdoch fathered many children with her. Including my great grandmother, my Father's, Mother.
Yes my father hold a stricking resemblance to William, he has very similar features, especially the ears. I stumlbed across this link this morning when my 12 year old son googled Murdoch in curiousity. I know it was a few years ago that this link was written but I hope that someone still finds an interest in it.

Hi Victoria!
Welcome to TDTSC!
I saw your inquiry about Will, over on that GenForum.com board, and have been trying to get hold of you ever since.
How about showing us a picture of your father on this board, so we can see how much he closely resembles his gt. grandfather. We're dying to see his photo.
My uncle-in-law, Gary also bares a striking resemblance to Will too, except that he's blue-eyed.
You do know that Will was very married to his "true" widow, Ada Florence Murdoch, don't you? I rather doubt that he would ever cheat on her.

Re: First Officer William Murdoch
Hi Victoria,
welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy your stay here. As for your father and his resemblance to William have you gotten any photos of him for I would love to see them. .I think just about anything is possible anymore. I mean we would want to believe that he was faithful to Ada but we will never know because it happened with him a long time ago. Also this sortof thing could have happened before his courtship and eventual marriage to Ada.
I personally would love to hear more about this.
Thanks for dropping in.

Re: First Officer William Murdoch
And Victoria, we also would like to know more about your gt. gt. grandmother, Will's alleged 2nd wife too.
Not only were he & Ada happily married, he also wore his wedding band she placed on his left pinky finger, September 2nd, 1904, very proudly too, as is evidenced in most all photos of him.
Hi Lill! Am happy to see you back.

Where have you been moved too? I also heard that Evansville, IN, got flooded-out. Lights told me about it over on Mr Titanic's TITANIC "Ship of Lost Dreams" board.
As for me, things are going fine for me. My sis-in-law, has me doing a maid-service type job...for which she wants me to dust their furniture and nic-nacs (she has too many), vacuum and dustmop their floors, whatever. But I don't think that I did such a good job. Why? Because by the time I tried to get the task done; I was just too tired, hot, and thirsty. Whew!!!
In closing, I really miss our close friendship we enjoyed when we met over on T-T, don't you?
Hugs,
-MA

Re: First Officer William Murdoch
I moved into my new apartment still in Evansville though. I agree I tried to tell Lights to expect some delays due to the flooding but I guess she had to see it for herself. lol. Yes it does tend to flood here quite A bit. especially since we are on the river . The Ohio river that is. it does tend to swell a great deal. When it does it truely is something to see.
