A wooden model of Titanic ( or rather not)
Hi All
I was going round some small shops when down south, and I found a shop selling a wood model of the titanic. I asked the shop keeper if he sold many, to which she replyed no not one. The model was in three sizes ranging from around six inches to two feet. It had the words Titanic printed in white letters on the front and back.
It had three decks, Yes three. and three funnels to match. Now I wonder why it did not sell.

Hi Wills
That is what it is exactly. Concidering the shop is a stones throw away from Southampton as well it is a good and esy target for the spur of the moment buyer.

Hi Wills
That is one of the main things these people play on, They attract people who do not know much about her and they buy them.

Re: A wooden model of Titanic ( or rather not)
Hi TTf
Yep true and this is becoming a obsesion now, Walking round Middlesbrough a arts and craft shop has the same model in its window. I went in and asked where they got it from and he said the same as the shop in Southampton, that the model was hand made by a local person. Wow he does get around dosnt he:-(

Re: A wooden model of Titanic ( or rather not)
That's a standard line in shops like that to move the merchandise - "Oh yes I picked this up in St. Ottery Catchpole, it was done by a local artist there".
