posticon Noah's my ggggggggggreat grandfather!

I am of Armenian ancestry. As I was searching and surfing the Internet yesterday for my surname roots. A little voice advised me to try my Armenian ancestry, by simply typing Armenia in Yahoo!'s search engine. Obeying that voice, I happened up on Wikipedia search. I discovered that ALL us Armenians are the direct descendants of Haik, the ggt. grandson of Noah. Noah is a descendant of Seth, the third son of Adam & Eve. Therefore--totally debunking that stupid assinine evolution theory crap.<rolleyes>

All of us Armenians can claim in our homeland *the* Garden of Eden, and Mount Ararat...where our ggggggggggt. grandfather, Noah's Ark is now resting in two sections. Plus, I can begin to trace my roots in Genesis, the first Book in the Bible. Hallelujah!!! Amen!!!

Genesis 1:27 (KJV)
So God created man in his image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

That's right, Tammy, remain keep ignorant instead of trying to learn something. These idiot televangelists love people like you...all they do is to feed you pap and you will go for it every time.

I am so glad that most school boards see intelligent design for what it is...a Trojan Horse to bring religion into the public schoolroom. Just what the world needs...another generation of ignorant, intolerant bible-blanging idiots!

Lights, you don't have to come off sounding so downright insulting! I have every right in the world to express my joy on this board about my great find of finding my Biblical Genealogical roots.

I was very thrilled to have found that, especially since I kept coming to a deadend with my surname reasearch. The voice who spoke to me, told me to start at the beginning by simply typing "Armenia" into the Yahoo! search engine. Listening to that voice, I did just that.

I'm glad I did. I only was just talking to my Auntie about how many folks have managed to trace their Genealogical roots all the way back to Adam & Eve. Now I too, can boast about doing that very same thing.

What's so thrilling about it, is that on another Armenian website, I recognized the Russian town my gt. grandparents once lived. Proving we are descendants of the above first couple.

So, please don't rain on my parade of absolute joy of finding out where I know I come from. Okay?

Then start having some respect for the beiliefs of others, MA. Your comments about my beliefs come off just as insulting. You may not believe in Evlolution, but others do and having their belief characterised as "trash" is just as insulting as someone trashing your belief that you are descended from Noah. Now you know how it feels when you say some of the things you say to others. Belief is a very personal thing and to have someone trash it is painful. emoticon

Well said Lights.
I think we are all related to him in one way or another. I mean if I remember correctly during the flood there were only a few people aboard ..so in some sence of the word we are all related .. one way. I mean at some point we have to say enough. It is interesting to read though and I am glad that Tammy has found out something new about her family.

Thank you, Lill, for your kind words. Incidentally, even the Scots can be traced back to Noah, via his son, Japeth to his son, Gomer to his son, Togarmah. Just type the latter's name into the Yahoo! search engine. What you find, should prove to be most interesting...with a whole lot of history.

So you see--Lights, the Bible is "the" key tool that is steeped with much of our historical background...where it all began in the Middle East, in the Asia Minor (today's modern-day Turkey) region just southeast of the Caucauses Mountains. Just look at the maps of that area.

If you will notice, I was the one who brought up that we are all inter-related.

I believe that one can believe in evolution and still be a good Christian. How can this be, you may ask? In Genesis, it states that the world was created in seven days. Now the Creator did not see fit to tell us the exact length of those days. It may have been the current 24 hour days, or they may have been longer, much longer than the current days. In the Psalms it says, "A thousand years are but a day in Thy Sight."

Evolution is entirely within the scope of God's creation. He did not see fit to tell us how exactly he created humans. So He may have snapped his fingers and voila! He may have used the long process of evolution. The fact is we do not know exactly how it was accomplished, just that it was. I choose not to limit God. I don't know the exact process he used, but I won't limit Him to just one creative process. As I said, I don't believe in limiting Him or attempting to know what thought processes were used.

True, we are, through Noah's sons' lines of descendants. Meaning, we're all children of God.

You just may be right about the current 24 hour days. But I could swear that I may have seen something else about the time some where else. Try this link:

Genesis Research

And then Click on the "Days of Genesis" button...which is where I may have found it.

Once you click on to the above link and begin reading, you will find that that website covers it all.
