Re: Titanic Conspiracy.
hi tom
I have read and reseached this subject and i could see how people could think they had been switched but when you look deeper they is no way on this earth there were switched.
There were changes on the Titanic that were not on the Olympic or Britanic like Titanic had a extra toilet what was added later after the Olympic sailed and also means the titanic had a extra port hole and that was just one of the changes.
thats all for now

Re: Titanic Conspiracy.
Hi Mollye!
Yes, there were numerous changes...the screens on A-Deck forward. The elimination of various B-Deck promenade spaces to enlarge first class suites and to allow space for the Cafe Parisien...the difference in window patterns from those on Olympic...there are many many changes, enough to say that what we have down there is the Lady Herself and none other.
I didn't know about the extra toilet! Learn something new every day.

Re: Titanic Conspiracy.
The Titanic conspiracy books are interesting and do ask some good questions. Even if you do not believe it.
Have many of you read them?
Scraping her I think would have been the best option anyway, a brand new ship like Olympic must have been worth a lot in scrap. Especially as if you were going to swap Titanic with Olympic which would surely cost a lot by the time the work has been carried out and you have paid people to carry out the task and keep their mouths shut.

Re: Titanic Conspiracy.
I have reread The Titanic Conspiracy and I still do not buy it. There was no insurance scam to go badly awry. Titanic was lost through excessive speed and what in hindsight appears to have been poor seamanship. End of story.

Re: Titanic Conspiracy.
Besides, when was the last time you saw something like 20,000 people (the guys who actually MADE the ship or worked in the shipyard?) keep a secret?

Re: Titanic Conspiracy.
That is a good point TTF. You can bet that if something huge like that actually happened that nobody in their right mind would have kept their mouth shut.I mean especially after the didsater itself.
It just doesn't seem plausable.

Re: Titanic Conspiracy.
I look on the Titanic conspiracy as still yet another myth that's been trumped up.

Re: Titanic Conspiracy.
Greetings,
That is absolutely perposterous to think it was switched. I have been reading about Titanic for more than 20 years. I also agree that 20,000 workers could keep a secret like that. Thanks for listening. TTYL, Laters.
