probably not ....part two.

ok here is if anyone is interested is what happened to me last year.

it kind of fills in the gap in my posts in the above mentioned thread.

1 in march of last year after my 25th birthday i contracted bellspalsy. it lasted for a month . had to take steroids for two weeks.
2 immediately after that my muscles caused me pain from the bell palsy [dr said it would happen] that is after he laughed and made fun of me for about 10 minutes.
3. had a bad gallbladder attack missed work.
4. got very bad chest cold almost turned into pnuemonia
5 had another gallbladder attack this time went to hospital they gave me 2 different kinds of meds and sent me home. this was on sep 7th at 11.30 pm. during the er visit i was given an ultrasound and they said my bile duct was enlarged and i had a gallstone and inch wide in there as well. they sent me home though after noting that i had a yellowish tint to my body. hmmmm usually mean poisoning right? you would think .
anyway
on the 9th at 6.30 am i was back in the hospital. this time i was to stay.

the dr told me that my bile was backing up into my liver and if it didnt get taken care of immeditaly i was gonna have serious complications.
so at 11 they gave me a scope test. found everything ok nothing was blocking it.

now onto the suregery part....
they made me wait untill 345 pm thursday the 10th before i could have it...
when they came in they gave me the preop meds and i had a panic attack never had one in my life but i did then hmm.

went through suregery ok had problems it took 2hrs to do because he said my gallbladder was swollen so bad so he had to open another hole to get it out, and when he saw me a week later pretty much told me that i almost died.

next came thanksgiving.well the tuesday before i had had chest pains and sharp pains up under my left arm. so my employees made me take some asprin . well didnt think anything about it. but on that thursday i was walking through my brothers room and getting ready to go downstairs and i was just standing there and i past out and jammed my pinky toe on my right foot. ouch yeah i know it hurt.

ok now that is almost done with that year but i was very carefull in dec. lol.

anyway if this hasnt bored you yet
more to come..

so you see that is why i said this was a good thing i got onto the board and met all of you .
lol

Hi Wills

Wow where do I start, I suppose by saying I am so sorry for the trouble you have been having, And also that I think it is great that you can 1/ Talk about it to us, and 2/ That you have regained enough strength to try to make it a past thing.

On your second point I am amazed that a doctor should laugh, That is beyond the apprehension of thought. I am afraid I would of had something to say about that. And not a good thing either. Sorry but I have seen that many people put off doctors as they do not take there patients serious. Some with fatal consequences.

I also find it strange that after a bad Gaul bladder attack they did not look further then. But again I am pleased that you managed to cope so well through it.

I know from past experience what a bad chest cold can and does lead to, I had pneumonia four years ago and almost died through not wanting to let my employers down at the time, I carried on working till I fell unconscious. when they brought me round I drove home 72 miles and was then admitted to hospital within 10 minuets, I had apparently about half hour to live as my heart had gone into heart failure due to this.

Yellow tinge is correct yes, it does mean a form of poisoning yes. Also yellow jaundice which is the same thing in a different way.

Also aspirin is the worst thing at the time you could take, it thins the blood down and the doctors should of told you not to take them after a operation of any sorts. Unless they prescribe them and control it that is. Funnily enough black currents have a large amount of natural aspirin in them.

Thank you for telling and sharing this with us, I will look forward to hearing the next part, Maybe I will tell my story one day.

Warmest regards
Graham

why thank you very much graham.

wow that sounds just like something i would do ..i am glad you came through yours ok.
yeah it is hard to tell but sometimes it is better to tell it and get it all out rather then leaving it in and hurting even more.

i hope to hear your story as well. maybe one day ....

yeah the dr laughed at me and called me popeye and things . it upset me very much because i am a smiling person and for a dr. nonethe less to do that seemed to me rather stupid on his part. it definately did not do much for my mentality at the time or selfessteem..

when i went back the 2nd time to the er the dr on duty told me he did not understand why the dr had gave me those pills and sent me home.
that could be a malpractice suit.
well anyway thanks for listening .
i will tell you this on a more personal note., it does going through things like that make you appreciate the things i do have.

HI Wills

I am sure it is something you would do as well, You seem the same type of person as me I a lot of ways.

And yes I do know it was hard for you to say what you meant. When I get a hour or so I will do my story, I can imagine it did make you very upset to watch a Dr laugh.

I wholly agree with you things like this do make you appreciate things a lot better than before, and that goes on every day after as well
