"Ghost Ship"

I finally watched my Ghost Ship DVD earlier yesterday afternoon!!! And you know what? It wasn't as scary as I thought it might be...especially that scene at the beginning where the ship's passengers get sliced in half by that wire. It did, however, keep you guessing as to what might happen next...and that makes it quite exciting to watch.

Lill, now I understand why you enjoyed it.emoticon

Re: "Ghost Ship"

I bought that one a couple of months ago and only watched it myself a week or so ago (I don't watch TV so I keep lots of unwatched vidios around for when I feel like a movie).
I kind of liked it...but then I love a 'haunted house' story--which essentially it was. At first I thought it was going to be the usual 'splatter flick' to have to wait and see how each character dies--I don't care for those as they are usually so weak in plot, I like something a little more cerebral. But this one, I was very gratified to see, actually had a point and held together. And an interesting creepy ending too. A little (hell, a lot) unrealistic if one knows much about the sea and salvage, but very fun nevertheless.
Much better than our old friend 'Raise the Titanic'.

I am NOT a fan of horror - The Mummy is about my limit - would this be ok for me to watch with that as a comparison?

Yeah, TTF, GS would be OK to watch...just as long as you watch it during the daylight hours. I followed it up by watching the movie musical Grease DVD, starring Olivia Newton-John & John Travolta.

I'm not a big horror film fan myself either, so don't feel bad. OK?

Well, I am of two minds on this one...but I do believe I shall pass...my better half just bursts into tears at the thought of some dead crewmen and passengers being turned into killers...very sentimental my better half....
