If you could
If you could dive to the wreck of Titanic, would you do it and what would you like to see the most?

Re: If you could
Hi Tom
To be honest I would like the Titanic to be left in peace, I would not even if I could go down to her to disturb her even more than she has been in the past.
I still maintain that she is a grave not a climbing frame for people to play on. Ok yes it is my opinion and not many others have the same one as me,

Re: If you could
Hi Graham,
I must echo your sentiments here. I also feel she should be left in piece.I feel it is so morbid to want to see where so many soul's lost there lives.Already I feel that the site has been invaded nad plundered. To me it is something that is of no intrest, I mean going down to see her. BFN Navigator

Re: If you could
I agree with both Navigator and Tom on this. Titanic should of been maybe photographed but everytthing should of been left in place as was. And yes many people do disagree but when you think in the UK we have many wreck sites designated a grave site yet we know all about them how it sank photos etc but things have never been lifted of them apart from illigaly of course which is one thing not so easy to stop.

Re: If you could
Hi Tom
I am sorry but I will never shift from my stand on grave robbery, If anything ok I will conceded from things been braught up fromn the debris field but to take personal belongings is to me sacriledge.
What I cannot understand is why they bring items from Titanic up yet leave other ships alone? Also the fact that they bribng pieces up that have in a way no significance in history apart from it sunk on a ship. A cup and saucer which there is thousands about suddenly becomes important because it survived the sinkling.
Yes it is deteriating faster now but hasnt the fact that it is been disturbed so much also speeding up this process?
The damage caused to her decks etc is now starting to be man made not natural, I wonder f the soles aboard are happy?

Re: If you could
This post should appear on top of Graham's last post but I accidentally deleted it but I do have an exact copy of it:
Although I have always said that I think the wreck should be looked at but never touched and I still believe that but I am starting to see the point that other people are making, the people who say that items should be taken from the wreck and preserved to keep the memory of Titanic alive.
The wreck and the items will not last for ever, so I do understand why so many people want to salvage what ever they can.

Re: If you could
You do have a point with man made damage...I hate to see the Mir subs landing on the ship as when you look at pictures/video of the wreck you can often see damage that they have caused.

Re: If you could
The footage from inside the wreck from the ROV's is amazing, though.
