These have great sources of documentaries on most days and especially weekend. Last week alone I watched two documentaries on the Kursk, That's the Russian sub that sank. One on the Titanic, that has been played over and over again but you never know something the next time round might stand out. and various other ship wrecks too numerous to mention. And no I am not a couch potato in case anyone thinks this just like documentaries on ships as it is part of my work. The Internet has some really good sites. You could always start as I used to do at the ship list, don't now the url of hand but if you type ship list into google it more than likely will come up first. It is a really good site covering all sorts Then if you are into tall ships there is the "tall ship list" again not sure of the url. Hoe this helps you get started but be warned, if you go to the ships list you may be stuck there for hours. The arabic 2 built about 1902/3 she was sunk by torpedo off the coast of Ireland with a loss of lives around 40 or 50 again not sure but it was in the first war so around 1914 / 1915 The arabic 3 was built around 1908-1909 White star acquired her around 1930 and scrapped her the year after purchase. Hope that helps should be able to find out more when I can dig it out. I now that a daft answer is going to come from this but I am totally lost. Local news says Titanic is going to leave Southampton very soon, better be quick I suppose. That makes me think, ( OK you can stop laughing now I do think sometimes) I wonder what the people who had booked for Titanic where thinking around this time back in 1912. They would of had great expectations, excitement etc. The ones going on business would be jotting things down in diaries etc. The con men would be working out who to con and by how much. Do's make one think though see now I ramble, in my own little world.
