Have had surgery
Hi All,
The carpal tunnel release was done today, and appears to be a success. My hand is quite painful at the moment when I move it, but should feel better in a couple of days.
I am posting with my left hand, so I may hit the wrong keys now and again, so please forgive any spelling mistakes.

Re: Have had surgery
Thankyou,
The sore hand does have it's advantages, a friend of mine is going to fix my mower and mow my lawn for me.

Re: Have had surgery
I can now write again with my right hand, it has to be done slower than usual, but at least my signature is almost the same as it used to be. Although today when I used my amex card, I had to show my driver's license as well, to prove it was my signature.

Re: Have had surgery
It is coming along great, every day it gets a bit more strength back. I can use it for light work now. I still can't open the vegemite (that black stuff that looks like axel grease, Australians love on sandwhiches) jar, if the lid is on tight. I get either Jeff or Ben to open it for me.
Just a side note, we now have another invalid in the house.
Jeff had knee surgery yesterday (July 4).

Re: Have had surgery
Don't apologise for not knowing vegemite, it is not well known outside of Australia, as it is an aquired taste (take that as meaning if you were not brought up on vegemite as a child, you will most likely never aquire the taste for it).
Vegemite is a yeast extract spread and contains a large amount of vitamin "B". It is low in fat, and children prefer it on sandwhiches, sometimes with cheese. Adults tend to have it on toast at breakfast time. I usually spread it on toasted "English muffins"
You can find out all you want to know about vegemite on the Kraft Foods Australian web site.
