Right? Anyhoo, I'm happy to hear your hand is feeling better, and that you can finally use both hands instead of just one. You say that your friend now has had knee surgery...and/or is having trouble with his knee? Now that's a major bummer! By the way, if it will make him feel better, please do tell him that I've had right-knee problems ever since I was a teenager. I didn't really notice it until I got my first horse, Lady, and began riding Western...did it begin giving me trouble. When I switched to English riding, the problem went away. Then most recently, when I went for a long hike with my sister-in-law, and her friends...when we were returning from our hike, did that same old problem with my right-knee flare-up again. So next time I go walking with her and/or with them, I'm wearing a knee brace on that knee. nondisclosed_email@example.com (MurdochsAid)Tue, 15 Jul 2003 20:51:34 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1952,from=rss#post1952https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1952,from=rss#post1952That's okay!! I go back to work on Saturday the 12th. Jeff's knee is coming along well, he is getting around now without crutches. He is still off work until at least the 4th of August. albynondisclosed_email@example.com (albyau)Thu, 10 Jul 2003 20:40:54 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1948,from=rss#post1948https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1948,from=rss#post1948Don't apologise for not knowing vegemite, it is not well known outside of Australia, as it is an aquired taste (take that as meaning if you were not brought up on vegemite as a child, you will most likely never aquire the taste for it). Vegemite is a yeast extract spread and contains a large amount of vitamin "B". It is low in fat, and children prefer it on sandwhiches, sometimes with cheese. Adults tend to have it on toast at breakfast time. I usually spread it on toasted "English muffins" You can find out all you want to know about vegemite on the Kraft Foods Australian web site. albynondisclosed_email@example.com (albyau)Fri, 04 Jul 2003 22:30:32 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1947,from=rss#post1947https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1947,from=rss#post1947Hope Jeff feels better soon. By the way, what is vegemite made from? Excuse my stupidity, just wondering?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Jade)Fri, 04 Jul 2003 22:13:06 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1946,from=rss#post1946https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1946,from=rss#post1946It is coming along great, every day it gets a bit more strength back. I can use it for light work now. I still can't open the vegemite (that black stuff that looks like axel grease, Australians love on sandwhiches) jar, if the lid is on tight. I get either Jeff or Ben to open it for me. Just a side note, we now have another invalid in the house. Jeff had knee surgery yesterday (July 4). albynondisclosed_email@example.com (albyau)Fri, 04 Jul 2003 22:09:43 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1945,from=rss#post1945https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1945,from=rss#post1945Hope you have a speedy recovery, Alby.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Tim G)Fri, 04 Jul 2003 22:02:29 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1944,from=rss#post1944https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1944,from=rss#post1944And don't forget - no dishes!!!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Teamtunafish)Fri, 04 Jul 2003 01:01:08 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1943,from=rss#post1943https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1943,from=rss#post1943I can now write again with my right hand, it has to be done slower than usual, but at least my signature is almost the same as it used to be. Although today when I used my amex card, I had to show my driver's license as well, to prove it was my signature. albynondisclosed_email@example.com (albyau)Thu, 03 Jul 2003 12:40:10 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1942,from=rss#post1942https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1942,from=rss#post1942I am also Glad the surgery was a success and I Hope your hand gets back to normal soon nondisclosed_email@example.com (Thomas Dyer)Tue, 01 Jul 2003 06:28:01 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1941,from=rss#post1941https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1941,from=rss#post1941Thankyou, The sore hand does have it's advantages, a friend of mine is going to fix my mower and mow my lawn for me. albynondisclosed_email@example.com (albyau)Tue, 01 Jul 2003 06:26:49 +0000 Re: Have had surgeryhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1940,from=rss#post1940https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p1940,from=rss#post1940Hope you recover really soon. My hand is quite painful at the moment when I move it, but should feel better in a couple of days. I am posting with my left hand, so I may hit the wrong keys now and again, so please forgive any spelling mistakes. albynondisclosed_email@example.com (albyau)Mon, 30 Jun 2003 14:02:59 +0000
