Sometimes art is difficult because the artist is trying to elucidate an idea without using words. If you talk to them, they usually have a pretty good idea of what they're aiming for.

Unforutunately, only rarely does it work....

I am afraid art is not what it used to be. I recall a brick placed in a glass jar and exhibited at the london art festival. Ok so what is it?? A brick ohh yes I see.

As for dead body's sorry not my cup of tea and who in there right mind is paying for it.

Actually, I'd suggest you read a review of the art exhibit, there may well be something the artist is trying to say that is not obvious from the description of the show. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but I have a lot of artistic friends and there is a lot that is not obvious in these quickie thumbnails on these exhibits.

I can't accept the dead body of a child as art. The pain of death is not for entertainment, even if permission was given for using the photograph, in which case I ask, who here would authorise the use of a picture of their dead child for art?
If a picture of a body of a child is used to make a point about conflict for example, then that is more understandable. Even then I have often failed to see the need.

Hi Graham

I have to agree with you on all points, I could not allow a picture of my dead child to grace the walls of anywhere. I personaly find it sick and offending.

Me too as I thughht you where on about the dead infants. Maybe the brick does have a point to make, I think it may of been the one left by a builder when the alterations where made, No one dare call it now so it is exhibited and on sale for a large amount of money
