Hi!

In normal service, Olympic's reciprocating engines tended to be run at 75-77 revolutions per minute. In May 1933, they averaged some 76 revolutions whilst Olympic recorded an average speed of 21.3 knots over the ground, Westbound.

(Source: Captain Smith's 1911 testimony, Chief Engineer Thearle's 1925 recollections, the Board of Trade's May 1933 report.)

Best regards,

Mark.
