Re: The Californian incident views

Hi Wills

I thank you and I have started the daily wreck post. My first is of the S Atlantic. Like I said in the post it is the earlier foundering of a WSL ship. It made the headlines in it's time as it was the largest loss of life for a steam ship of it's days. Again held by the WSL line. I do have a lot more on this and other wrecks I post about but due to board limitations and time to read I am going to keep them short or bridged. But should anyone want to now more they can always ask me and I would be glad to tell or send them more

I am not sure were to put the next as it is not WSL. But I am sure I can find a place. Or ask Tom Nicely and he may put me a new topic in for them. Say like wrecks of the past, with a few categories in like, Sail, Steam, Modern etc.

Regards
Graham

Time is a bit tight though today so may not get round to it.

Hi Wills

No problem I am sure like me you will think of things to ask and answer.

Putting things in order is often the hard part I know, so keep at it :-)

Graham, you say you've never found someone who is in the middle re; Captain Lord. What do you regard that as? I don't think the captain was necessarily a bad man, I think he made a mistake and then compounded it unmercifully by trying to cover it up. Where does that place me?

Hi Teamtunafish

Great to see you again, how's it going.

Ok Well The man himself has never been a issue really , it is his actions that people either condemn or condone. So in answer it would put you anti Lord.

Graham

Re: The Californian incident views

you are right graham,
people do tend to be for or against him .
not many people are neutral.

however if you grow up reading and listening to what others say it makes it difficult to
change your mind.
you are able to come to your own conclusions but it is hard sometimes when more things are pointing in one direction more than the other.

in short it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.... not impossible but hard..
it also depends on the willingness [of you dog in training ]
anyway just my thought
