Re: IDEA'S FOR FUTURE CONVENTIONS, ANYONE STILL AROUND WITH A CONNECTION TO THE TITANIC, OLYMPIC ?

I am in contact with a person who is directly involved with a ship from the same era as Titanic. he sailed aboard another ship but not WSL. The stories he tells are fascinating and very interesting. But he went to a convention expecting people to listen to what he had to say and he was snubbed. Now this gent was at the young tender age of 95 at the time. He travelled from North of England to Southampton booked in at the hotel to be told he was not welcome in a way as to be snubbed.

Hi Graham!
That's terrible, know that that 95-year-old gent who traveled on an non WSL ship from North of England to Southampton, got snubbed. How rude, indeed!
I would've loved to listened to his tales of traveling on (what did you say was the name of his...) said ship, and all that had happened onboard too.
Why, even my very own late gt. gt. uncle Eugene Laster, who served as a Chief First-Class Stewart aboard the Lurline, must have had lots of interesting to say about his many crossings from San Francisco to Honolulu, too.

What ships did Jack Phillips serve on ? Was he on the Olympic before Titanic. Just a quick question, don't want to draw attention away from this 100 year old lady. Will interesting to ask her what she remeber about the sinking of the Titanic - even if it was just reading in the Newspaper at the time.
