I read an article on Titanic out of the magazine "World", a kids version of National Geographic when I was 7. That summer we checked a couple Titanic books out from the library and I was hooked since.

When I was about 10 years old, I asked my father about a ship named Titanic, that my friends were talking about, they had watched a movie about it.

When the movie was repeated on television, my dad let me watch it, and I've been hooked ever since.

I did a research paper on it for school many years ago. Well I am 32 years old, so you do the math. I was in 8th grade. emoticon Anyway, I became hopelessly devoted to Titanic because of that. emoticon

Hi everybody! I happened to pick up Don Lynch's TITANIC: AN ILLUSTRATED HISTORY and well, that was all she wrote. After that, I was a confirmed TITANIAC. emoticon

It was the song It Was Sad When The Great Ship Went Down which we were required to learn in Girl Scout camp - then I started to do research, although I must admit it too the web to turn me into a full-time Titaniac!

I have that book by Bob Ballard. Good book. I actually have two of them. One says that it is a new and updated version. I am an avid book collector, especially ones with anything to do with shipwrecks and Titanic. Just one of my many hobbies. emoticon
