Now my friend I notice you managed to direct this mail to me of sorts:-) And I assure you you have never got my back up in fact it has always been a pleasure to discuss things with you. I unfortunately have not seen these drawings, but I have heard of the modern day material on her decks, the damage to her by submersibles etc etc etc. In bringing things up is nit not also true that in a way we are in fact adding to the corrosion? My theory would be more bulk more time needed. It still does not follow to me that to bring things up is a good idea. I still firmly believe this is a form of grave robbing. You say while the ship decays the stuff lives on, what of the pieces destroyed because they where forgot?? Now in essence they would still of been there. I am afraid we are never going to agree on this subject but it will always give us a good talking point Grahamnondisclosed_email@example.com (graham 01)Fri, 18 Nov 2005 19:47:10 +0000 Re: Titanic Founder Fears for Future of Great Wreckhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p200,from=rss#post200https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p200,from=rss#post200I was in the barber shop yesterday for my annual head polishing (I'm bald) and trim and saw that National Geographic magazine article about the deterioration of the Titanic. Was amazed to see a picture of some modern trash on her...but of course there must be lots of trash all over the ocean bottom what with stuff coming off ships every day. Also some new photos of the debris field etc. I had not seen before. But the most interesting thing was a series of drawings projecting what Titanic will look like 20, 50, 100 years from now...sad. Not wanting to get Graham's ire up again (well maybe a little), but it only made me want to save as much stuff from her as we can before the future series of collapses (there have already been many as the article illustrated). While the ship decays, the stuff brought up will live on. OK Graham, fire away.... 7th~nondisclosed_email@example.com (7th officer)Tue, 29 Mar 2005 16:43:52 +0000 Re: Titanic Founder Fears for Future of Great Wreckhttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p199,from=rss#post199https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p199,from=rss#post199Hi all Silly question but is Ballard going back to the Titanic again this year?
