Do you have a list of the launch dates for all the ships? Sounds like an addition to the chronology forum to me!

Medic:

The White Star Lines, approximately 12000 ton, Jubilee class ship Medic was built by Harland and Wolff and launched on the 15th December 1898.

She started her maiden voyage from Liverpool - Sydney on 3rd August 1899.

In June of 1928 the Medic was sold, renamed Hektoria and converted into a whale factory, she even had a ramp put on her stern so that they could get the whales aboard her.

While she was serving as a British Ministry of war transport oil tanker, in September 1942, she was hit by a torpedo from U 608 and sunk.

Ceramic sunk in December 1942 (she was not in service for WSL ship by this time) by U515. 655 people died and only 1 survived and he spent the rest of the war in a POW camp.

Laurentic (2) was torpedoed by U99 on 3rd November 1940, 49 people died.

Persic was sunk by U87.

Hi,

Your welcome.

The MV Georgic (2) was bombed by German planes in July 1941. The fire onboard reached her fuel and the ammunition onboard exploded. She was beached and the half submerged ship was almost completely destroyed but she was raised and after 3 years of repair work she was returned to service.

After the war Georgic was banned from sailing in the winter because of her war damage and she was sold for scrap 5 years before her older sister Britannic (3).
