One of my artsy-fartsy friends took all the old CDs that we could give him and did his living-room wall with them overlapping like fish scales - it's incredible!

You're only limited to your imagination.

(PS This is the guy who also built a sauna made of old beer bottles and glass cement, so it's naturally warm but not too warm and always nicely lit. Great fun getting him the materials, too!)

Don't know if any of you guys have heard of actor Dennis Weaver (Chester on the ole' Gunsmoke CBS-TV series, or R.J. Poteet, the Trail Boss, in James A. Michener's Centennial miniseries)...

But his Colorado home is made up entirely of old tires & soda pop cans, but I can't recall the rest of the materials he's used...which to get his home built.

Many moons ago in a People Magazine article, Lill...right after he had done the latter miniseries.

They had a NOVA (American Educational TV program) about environmentally houses, and they actually showed him building it - spectacular!

Don't feel too bad...I didn't get to see Lost Liners...blah!!!( Lights finds corner to pout in).

But I really like some of the creative stuff people come up with, especially some of the more creative stuff they've had on Monster House...a dorm mate of mine in college did a really neat thing with nets and driftwood and then did this really cool divider thingie out of the old fashioned pull-tabs they had on cans back in the 70s (OK I admit it, I'm gettin' old).

Remind me closer to Confluence, Lights, I'll bring you my copy, although the book was far better and the public library probably has it.
