Also, wouldn't you, if you were Aid &/or Elizabeth, while the man we love is at sea, get to know each other while the cat's away? emoticon I know I would, if I were the former, and furthermore--I wouldn't put it past her either. emoticon

No I wouldn't. While the cats away I do not play and wouldn't play with anyone else's man either. To add to that statement, I would not put up with someone playing with my man either. It may sound naive, but I believe in fidelity. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my husband would not step out on me, no matter what.

How if you were overwhemed with pure curiosity about the other woman? Wouldn't you be curious enough to want to meet her? That's what I mean, Aid must've been absolutely dying with curiosity about Elizabeth, and vice-versa. emoticon

I would rather not know. You get hurt less that way.

I agree. Besides, Aid was too much of a lady, and her business was to just be there for Will, whenever he would return home to her.

I just wonder how Elizabeth fared in his absence?

How did your obsession with Murdoch begin? I read how you got interested in Titanic, but your obsession with William Murdoch goes beyond that. What's the story? emoticon

For the record, ladies, there is no truth at all to Cogent being the "other woman". This is nothing at all more that rumour and has no basis whatsoever in fact that the man so named served as a deck officer on Titanic.

Whilst married to Aid, William Murdoch saw no other woman in England, Liverpool or otherwise. Given his schedule and duties this was impossible.

If you want facts on the man's life, ask. I don't deal in rumours.

This isn't just a rumor, [sign in to see URL] family honestly believes that WMM is their gt. grandfather. You would know that, if you read the openning of this thread.

Hang on a sec, weren't there TWO William Murdochs on Titanic? The Chief Officer and (I think) a trimmer or a stoker? Could this family be related to the other one, possibly?

TTF, check out my new thread--Fireman William Murdock - the other Murdoch. Then you will see that he isn't the common-law spouse of Elizabeth Crogent, but Catherine (surname unknown) is.
