Re: what about other ways of saveing the titanic.

I look at it this way ..as far as Bruce goes... at least that was one less person that died...At least he did listen and had the sense to get into a boat... A lot of people just did not believe Titanic was sinking..

Besides as far as Bruce is concerned as well... who really wants to spend eternity with their boss?

Ismay should have done what Thomas Andrews did...stay onboard, and gone down with the ship. Which goes to prove that Mr. Andrews was more of a man than Ismay.

Becuae of his cowardly actions, he'll forever be known as Brute Ismay.

Hey WIlls, I can second that...spending eternity with JBruce Ismay is NOT my idea of paradise! emoticon

MA, I honestly don't think that is a judgement call any of us can in good conscience, make. Only the Creator knows why Ismay got into that lifeboat tho my take was that he was afraid...common sense by that point on TITANIC. I wonder how many of us would have made the same decision that he did. No one knows what he will do until disaster strikes...before then it is all conjecture.

Greetings,
I agree that it shouldn't be any one person to make a decision of to live or die. I also believe that you are correct Lights that it is conjecture on the reasons, Mr. Ismay did get on a lifeboat. Thanks for listening. TTYL, Laters.

Robert
