Re: Our other hoppies!
Graham, the first painting (which you must have recognised immeadiately), is of Warwick castle, this is one place I love to visit frequently when I was in the UK some 5 years ago. The second one is a painting of a very old Mosque on the island of Kos (Greece) I was there for a medical conference back in October 1996. The third one is for my Grand Father (Ismail) who died 20 years ago. The forth is for an Icelandic Puffin. I must admit they don't taste as nice as they look. I was in Iceland in 1995 and I took the picture from there, then I painted it using water colors.
Almost all the paintings on the walls of my house are made by myself or my wife! who is a painter too
Hope you liked them.

Re: Our other hoppies!
Hi Titanica
Well what ca I say but wow. They are absolutely beautiful. The castle is a firm favourite of mine, Been there a few times. I did some research on another castle, in Scotland though. You may of been there or if not definitely heard of it. Sterling Castle.
The other pictures are really good as well, and what a fantastic way to remember your grandfather.
They are fit for the walls of a gallery, and would love to see your house with them all in.
Regards
Graham

Re: Our other hoppies!
Graham, I know sterling castle, but unfortunately I did not visit it. I wanted so much to do so, and may be I will in the future. I have been to Fort William in scotland and it was an extremely soothing and relaxing place. I would love to see it again. I was there at the same time when Mel Gibson was filming "Brave Heart". Did not manage to get an autograph though

H Titanica
Fort William, such a beautiful place, right at the top of Loch Lomand. I used to stay a distance from there at Luss. On the bank of Loch Lommand.
Braveheart was film at Sterling castle and the old castle just off it. and William of course.
But yes it is such a relaxing place and beautiful scenery

Re: Our other hoppies!
Hi Titanica
Loch Ness is nice, but I do prefer Lomand myself. I started from Ness in a hire boat now that is another story. But seriously it is nice just more commercial than Lomand. Loch Holy is good, plenty of maritime history.

Re: Our other hoppies!
I have not been to any of these Lochs you mentioned, but I agree, Loch Ness must have been exploited comercially. I will put Loch Lamond in mind next time I decide to visit Scotland
