Re: Christmas Card for everyone
Just my imagination working overtime...
Had Olympic been saved to being a floating hotel...as well as a major tourist attraction. I like to imagine myself then working aboard her (like the QM employees in Long Beach, CA.
For I could see myself dangling in some kind of a harness decorating Olly's Grand/or Aft Staircase that very same way.
Totally cool, Tom!!! Totally cool!!!
MA
P.S. Could Grand Staircase be "the" Branson, MO, Titanic museum, by any chance?

My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

Re: Christmas Card for everyone
I would love to go on board Olympic today. It is a shame that she did not get the same retirement as Queen Mary.
At least at the new SeaCity Museum in Southampton you can see the large Honour and Glory Crowning Time panel, which used to have the clock in the center of it, from the centre of Olympic's Grand Staircase.
I think the Grand Staircase shown in the first post is from the computer game Titanic Adventure Out Of Time. I would love to see the Grand Staircase at the Branson Titanic Museum.

Re: Christmas Card for everyone
I visited Branson about six years ago and it is beautiful indeed. It is scaled down from the original Titanic. but it give a good idea of what the original looked like. In fact here is a picture.
--- "What I remember about that night- what I will remember as long as I live- is the people crying out to each other as the stern began to plunge down. I heard people crying, 'I love you.'"
