posticon "Ghost of the Abyss" Companion book

Hi All!

Guess what? Today, I picked-up got my GOTA Companion book down at my local Hastings Book & Video Store.emoticon

Also, as proof is in the pudding regarding Will Murdoch being on the docking bridge (that platform just above the poop deck), April 10th, 1912, as Titanic was heading out the Southampton River Test...take a look at page 17, and you'll see him (you may need a magnifying glass in order to see him) at the controls. So you see--it was he who kept New York's stern from colliding into Titanic's stern that day.emoticon

I am more than half way through it, I enjoy it sooo much. I do, however, feel a certain sense of sadness as I skim through and read it.

Especially when I look at that picture of the starboard davit as it looked like as Will was still ready to launch the collapseable C boat from off the boat deck, a little over 92 years ago, April 15th, 1912.

And then that one last picture of him at the controls on the docking bridge as Titanic was leaving Southampton's River Test. I'm doing all I can to keep from totally losing it...but yet I feel him telling me that he is here with me, and not to feel sad.

"Hey! Will, Darling, in this life, I am only human. And crying over you, is a perfectly natural thing for me to do under the circumstances." Right, Lill?

The GOTA Companion book is hard to put down, once you start reading it. And last night I finally did just that. That's how totally fascinating it is. I was kept completely spellbound by it, and I highly recommend it to all my fellow Titanic fans. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Yes, it "does" have a good ring to it. You were right, Lill, you were right on the money on that one.emoticon

Did you also happen to notice that Jim Cameron has a thing for Lights & Will, too? Such as suggesting that either one of them may have cut the stays to the fore-funnel (saying that they may have caused it to tumble over into the water as Titanic took her death dive), in order to get the collapseables down off of the Captain's & Officers' Quarters roof? That I also caught, and brought to Lights' attention via email.

Just thinking about it, I wonder why Cameron unintentionally, is trying to get Will & Lights in trouble.emoticon

No, I am not OK with it, but I have come to terms with it. Atleast it's much better knowing what actually happened to my darling Will, then the not knowing. It's the not knowing that is the most painful thing to live with.

That's why I empathyze with folks whom have lost loved ones, that have gone through the same thing I went through. Them not knowing whether their loved one are dead (but still yet not knowing where they are) or alive, is a most painful thing to go through, because they are in a complete limbo.

That's exactly how I felt, and now that I know the truth of what happened to my husband. I can get on with my life, and at the same time...he'll always be right here with me in spirit. He has come to be my own personal guardian angel.

tammy,
if you had the relationship you claim to have with him then i am sure he knows you are not ok with it and he is quite possibly waiting aside paitiently for you to tell him that.

honesty is the best even if at the time it doesnt seem that way.
