Thomas Andrews--Voyage Into History

As you may or may not know, I have an open mind towards the subject of reincarnation...and am willing to examine any and all claims.

Having said that, I have read Thomas Andrews--Voyage Into History and all I can say is that if Bill Barnes (the author of same) was Thomas Andrews in 1912, then he has a lot of issues connected with that life to work out.

It ends up being one long diatrive against Ismay...let's face, it, gagn: Ismay was no saint, but nobody could be as bad as Bill Barnes portrays Ismay as being!! Then he calls Murdoch a baby and there is a notable scene in which Andrews b***h-slaps Ismay sending him flying about six feet across the bridge.

My recommendation? Not as bad as Titanic: a Love Story (but then not much could be THAT bad!), but not really worth whatever he charges for it (I lucked out and got to read it for free!).

One of the problems I encounter again and again in Titanic research is people who know what will happen judging others who do not have such knowledge. Sounds like this guy's a prime example.

Indeed...I simply cannot imagine Thomas Andrews b***h-slapping Ismay...nor referring to Murdoch as a "baby"...he had far too much respect and liking for the men who helped to sail the ships he designed.

Hi Lights

Bill Barnes did cash in on a lot of people. He used a study as well that was proved to be false. He in a way managed to make a lot of people follow him and then lash out on a book he wrote.

Interesting, Graham. I give everybody the benefit of the doubt...bu honestly, this guy was so far off Andrews's personality that I question the claim...
