It's a pretty good adventure story, but is not very 'Titanic' if you know what I mean. It could easily have been written about any cool shipwreck I think. But Lights is right in what she said, it is like that. A researcher comes up with evidence of treasure aboard and a group goes after it--this was before she was officially discovered. The expedition comes to a sticky end (I'm not giving anything away as this is made clear early on). Sooo, this time there is no BSing around...the US Navy gets involved. It is much along the film "Aliens II" where the first encounter doesn't work out so the 'big guns' are brought in.... But.... But in many ways it is like the 'Raise the T' movie. Good action fun, but very frustrating for us Titanic geeks in that there isn't nearly enough real Titanic lore to sink our teeth in. You haven't missed much by not having heard of it. The only thing I really found cool is the modern Navy expedition had some newly developed suit type things so they can actually go down inside--a real fantasy trip!...but alas, not well enough gone into to wet the whistle.nondisclosed_email@example.com (7th officer)Wed, 19 May 2004 13:28:43 +0000 Re: Somethings alive on the Titanichttps://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p6425,from=rss#post6425https://btomdyerstitanicsitecommunity.runboard.com/p6425,from=rss#post6425Sorry I need to be a bit more explicit in my posts - this is a book, I think.
