Re: Worst TITANIC Movie
I love the scene in RTT, when Titanic comes back up to the surface.

Re: Worst TITANIC Movie
Dear MurdochsAid,
Poor actor. I'd never admit I was in a film like that!
I did like the old guy who was supposed to be a surviving TITANIC officer, though. In the novel, he's kind of a combination of Lightoller and Boxhall, so I fondly refer to him as LightBox!

Re: Worst TITANIC Movie
I think RTT would have been better, if there had been true facts about Titanic in it.

Re: Worst TITANIC Movie
Hi
I have just posted A Night To Remember as my fav Titanic move, so here's the one I think is the worse and I know I am going to upset a few people by saying this. I think James Camerons Titanic was a disaster from begining to end (excuse the pun) it's only saving grace was the special effects.
The acting was terrible.
The scripe was terrible.
The story was perfectic.
I could go on all night about what I did not like about this film. JC wasted a good oppertunity to make a brillient film.

Re: Worst TITANIC Movie
Ohh-h-h-h you aren't the only one, couchbunny! The only reason I watched Cameron's Titanicwas because of the relative accuracy of the sets...you are right
Cameron's Titaniccould have been so much more...a truly brilliantTitanicmovie.

I refused to watch that mini series, so I can't comment on it. My worst Titanic movie is the 1955 version "TITANIC" with Barbara Stanwyck and Clifton Webb.
Also, if you count fictional movies based on "TITANIC", then I would add "Raise the Titanic" to my list.

Not only do I own this version, I also saw it aired on my local Channel 45 last night as well too.
I'm in total agreement with you about the 1953 film TITANIC version, for it totally stunk!!!
James Cameron's version is the best I've ever seen when it comes to movies made about Titanic. Accept for the fictional characters being added to the telling of the story, he atleast got it historically right.
Also, in the miniseries, I thought that later actor, George C. Scott also excellently portrayed Captain E.J. Smith, as did Bernard Hill (talk about a perfectly ideal E.J. clone!!!) in Cameron's version, too.
So you see--both of the latter versions do have their strong points.
