When did news of the sinking reach White Star office in Liverpool

Is it known at what time news of the sinking reached the White Star office in Southampton, and by extension the White Star Office in Liverpool, from which the news would have travelled across to the nearby Port of Liverpool building and then out into the wider maritime community, presumably long before the papers could publish anything?

The telegraphic service might not operate overnight, and would in any case need to wait till working hours to actually deliver messages?
