Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to post these photos for us all to enjoy. If I may comment on the images in your second post:

The second photo from the top is Olympic at Belfast, 1912, not 1935. You can just about see the pumping house window near the bow.

If memory serves the third photo was taken at Southampton in autumn 1935, rather than Jarrow. So she was still laid up. After she arrived at Jarrow in October, her fittings were auctioned in early November; and breaking up did not *truly* start until January 1936. Since Olympic proved tougher than expected, so the time taken increased. If I remember rightly, she took two months longer to break up than had been expected. Interestingly, she was not taken off the British registry until February 1939 -- just before Hitler invaded the remnants of Czechoslovakia and made Britain realise he would not abide by the Munich agreement.
