The ship's descent

Recently watched a show called 'Drain the Titanic'. Apparently, the bow section of the ship descended straight down at a speed of around 55kph. The stern, on the other hand, was rotating at nearly 100kph when it hit the seabed, which explains why the stern is so badly damaged. The relatively small size of the wreck site also suggests that the ship didn't snap in half at the surface but rather the break-up occurred once the whole ship was already underwater.
